Frederic Vasseur showed up early yesterday in Maranello, before nine, at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio assigned to him as a company car. The Italian daily newspaper described Frederic Vasseur “communicative, relaxed and at ease” on a first day in Maranello that lasted into the late evening. Although Fred Vasseur has already started taking Italian lessons, the languages used were English and French, especially when the former number one of the Alfa Romeo pitwall found himself in direct confrontation with Laurent Mekies, a Frenchman like Fred Vasseur.
