Ferrari: Fred Vasseur explains what it will take in Brazil to secure a third consecutive F1 win. Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur is hopeful for a third consecutive win in Brazil.

Following the successful trips to Austin and Mexico City, where Charles Leclerc and then Carlos Sainz stood on the top step of the podium, Ferrari heads to Brazil aiming for a third win in a row and to close the gap in the Constructors’ standings with McLaren.

Ferrari is now “only” 29 points behind the papaya team, meaning they need to recover 7.5 points per race in the final four rounds of the season. This goal is certainly challenging but within reach for the SF-24, which has taken a clear step forward since the Maranello team introduced an upgrade package at Monza.

Ferrari believes in a championship comeback
Frederic Vasseur, who recently celebrated his fifth win at the helm of Ferrari, is also confident and hopes for another victory this Sunday: “We’ve arrived at the final race of an American triple-header, where so far we’ve managed to maximize our package’s potential.” – he explained.

“At Interlagos, we have the season’s fifth Sprint weekend, meaning the entire team will need to put in a great physical and mental effort. With this format, it will be even more crucial for the rest of the team in Maranello to contribute, starting from pre-Austin simulator prep work and continuing without pause through these three weeks with remote garage support and post-race analyses based on data collected on track.” – the French manager pointed out ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

“This extensive team spread across Maranello and São Paulo will need to ensure that Charles and Carlos have a solid baseline for balance and setup from the start so they can focus on driving.”

Watch out for the weather
“At Interlagos, the weather factor could come into play, making it even more important for everyone to operate at peak focus to prepare for and make the most of every scenario. Morale is high, and the momentum is with us. We must keep working like this. Only later will we look at the standings.” – Fred Vasseur concluded.

Last year, Ferrari faced one of its worst weekends of the season in Brazil, with Charles Leclerc retiring during the formation lap due to a hydraulic issue, while Carlos Sainz finished only sixth.

On paper, McLaren is expected to be strong again on the winding Brazilian circuit after two tough races, but the red car is ready to once again challenge Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
