Ferrari fans call for permanent change after Maranello team unveil striking new Miami GP merchandise. Ferrari fans are calling for a bold new white livery at the Miami Grand Prix .

Ferrari heads into the Miami Grand Prix carrying the weight of a challenging start to their 2025 Formula 1 campaign, following a frustrating double disqualification in China and a series of underwhelming results for Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton, in particular, has endured a rocky transition to life at Ferrari, attributing some of his struggles to a lack of confidence during braking. The braking materials and systems at Ferrari differ notably from those he had become accustomed to at Mercedes, impacting both his ability to brake late and the efficiency of the car’s energy recovery under braking phases.

The seven-time world champion’s issues were evident in Saudi Arabia, where he trailed teammate Charles Leclerc by as much as half a second per lap. Alarmingly, the performance gap between the two Ferrari drivers has been widening as the season progresses.

Following the disqualification at the Chinese Grand Prix, Ferrari was forced to adjust the setup parameters of both cars — a change that has further complicated Hamilton’s adaptation to the SF-25.

Amidst these on-track struggles, Ferrari fans have turned their attention to a different kind of hope — a visual one — sparked by the team’s latest announcement on Instagram.

Fans urge Ferrari to adopt white livery for Miami Grand Prix after merchandise reveal

Ferrari recently teased new Miami Grand Prix merchandise featuring Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton dressed head-to-toe in striking white outfits. The fresh look quickly captured the imagination of the tifosi, who flooded social media with calls for Ferrari to update their car’s livery to match.

Fans reacting online expressed their enthusiasm for the merchandise, with many suggesting that the team should roll out a red-and-white livery to complement the new apparel. Some users remarked that the new look was “stunning,” while others pleaded for the car itself to reflect the same stylish theme, suggesting that it would be perfect “revenge in white” at Miami. Several comments also questioned if a special livery would be unveiled, noting that the Miami Grand Prix often serves as a platform for F1 teams to showcase alternative branding.

Speculation intensified as fans eagerly awaited confirmation, with one enthusiast asking if a “white car” could make an appearance, while others hoped Ferrari would seize the opportunity to turn around their fortunes both visually and competitively.

Ferrari’s previous Miami livery tribute underwhelmed fans

This is not Ferrari’s first attempt at delivering a special livery for the Miami Grand Prix. Last year, the Scuderia paid homage to their North American racing heritage by adding subtle blue accents to their traditional Rosso Corsa red, referencing the iconic North American Racing Team (NART) colors from the 1964 season.

However, the 2024 tribute was met with mixed reviews. Many fans were disappointed that Ferrari had not gone further with the blue theme, feeling that the design leaned too heavily on the standard red rather than embracing a bolder transformation.

For 2025, expectations are much higher. Hints of a collaboration between Ferrari and title sponsor HP suggest a potential special livery could be on the horizon, with a full reveal expected in the lead-up to race weekend. Should Ferrari embrace a white-dominated design, it might not only please fans but also symbolize a fresh start during what has been a difficult season so far.

I agree. Ferrari as a clothing and accessories manufacturer and supplier is probably what they should be doing instead of racing or trying to build f1 cars or road cars that burn themselves out without a flame nearby. What a day of celebration it would be if they leave F1.
