Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has recently admitted that he is in currently “trying to produce songs”, and suggested he could decide to release them at some point in the future.
The Monegasque driver’s passion for music is well-known: in his free time, Charles likes to play the piano, as during the years he has posted several videos on his social media accounts and has now confirmed that he is attempting to write his own music.
The official Formula 1 YouTube account has posted a new video on Friday, as drivers were playing a game of ‘Never Have I Ever’. One of the topics was if they have ever recorded a song.
Charles Leclerc held up the sign stating that he had and was then asked to provide more details, explaining that he was intends to keep the songs private for now:
“I am doing it now,” he said. “It‘s not going to be public. I mean, I am just doing it for myself, I am trying to produce songs, but [it’s] early days.” – the Monegasque added.

His comments were posted on Twitter by user @Vetteleclerc and got the attention of the Ferrari man, who replied to the tweet with a short message: “It might change…”
This means that it remains to be seen if we get the opportunity to listen to Charles Leclerc’s original music anytime soon, but he is not the only driver known to produce their own music.
Mercedes man Lewis Hamilton has also talked about his interest for music, and is known to produce his own songs during his time off from the race tracks. Other Formula 1 starts’ responses in the video included Yuki Tsunoda admitting he had recorded a song before, albeit “not properly”, Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll explaining that he had sung over a track before and McLaren’s Lando Norris saying said he had as well about “10 years ago”, but believes the video is not something anyone maybe be able to find online.
