Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto has confirmed that the focus for the 2021 Formula 1 season is already on the development of the 2022 car:

“Our focus in the coming season is already on the development of the 2022 car. We will not spend a lot of time developing the 2021 car during the season. The change to the new cars for 2022 is so extensive that we will definitely shift most of our resources there. I don’t plan to attend all the races. I will be there at the beginning when it is important to estimate our performance & make sure that everything is going according to plan. But at some point, I will stay in Maranello to focus more on the 2022 project.” – the Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal explained, in a recent interview for German automobile magazine ‘Auto Motor und Sport’.
