Scuderia Ferrari confirm Charles Leclerc will be able to run same chassis and power unit despite hefty crash
Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc has been given the all-clear by the FIA after a violent shunt at the end of second practice for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix earlier today.
With just a few minutes to go until the end of FP2 at Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Charles Leclerc lost control of his SF21 car going into Turn 22, a high-speed left-hander. His car pirouetted into the barriers, completely destroying the rear of his car.
A statement from the Maranello team read: “Charles came back to the hospitality after routine medical checks having been given the all-clear by the doctors.”
