At the start of the season, there was much debate about the internal dynamics within Ferrari, newly equipped with a highly talented driver line-up. Some believed Lewis Hamilton would challenge Charles Leclerc fiercely, while others argued it would be the Monegasque who would outperform the seven-time world champion. Looking at recent race results, it’s clear that no one has overshadowed Charles Leclerc, who remains the only Ferrari driver to have reached the podium in the full-length races.
Charles Leclerc was already accustomed to competing alongside top-caliber teammates, having begun his Ferrari journey next to a four-time world champion. “I have learned a lot from my teammates; each had their own strengths and weaknesses. I take the qualities from those beside me. Vettel was impressive in how he felt the car and how detailed he was in the briefings. I used to say general things, while he came with a thousand points and really helped me grow. Carlos had some difficult weekends but still managed to score the maximum points available,” the driver said in an interview with Sky Sport.
Now, the challenge is to compete with someone who has won seven world championships and is an icon of Formula 1 both on and off the track. “Lewis is the most successful driver in this sport, and there are many things to learn from him. I expected a lot from him; his speed is incredible. What I’m learning most from him is how he organizes the people around him.”
