On the official Ferrari Magazine, an exclusive interview about the brand’s success secret was published: here are some of Fred Vasseur’s most significant comments.
The red and yellow of Maranello are enough to evoke the glorious history of Ferrari without the need for grand introductions: Frederic Vasseur knows it, and so do all the individual members of the historic Italian lineage. The latest interview published in the Official Ferrari Magazine starts from here, where among others, the team principal of the Maranello racing team speaks opens up on Ferrari’s performance:
“With the beginning of the new racing season, the spotlight is on the drivers. Yet, exclusive access to the key people of the Scuderia and Endurance reveals the teamwork culture that has made Ferrari the most successful name in motorsport worldwide.”
“In a sport where the car is undoubtedly very important, the human factor still counts. Today’s drivers competing in the current Formula One and WEC championships know this well. Similarly, those who work with them throughout the season and have also been involved in their selection know it,” reads the special article.
“The drivers don’t have to be best friends, but they have to be able to work well together.”
According to Frederic Vasseur, in fact, the great secret of success lies precisely in the human relationship that is established within a team.
“There are some qualities that are difficult to identify until they are seriously tested. For this reason, it’s difficult to predict how a driver will react to a difficult situation. However, if I had to identify a common characteristic among Formula 1 drivers, I would say it’s their ability to put pressure on everyone, including themselves, with their obsessive attention to detail,” Frederic Vasseur adds.

The article ends with a warning and a clear reference to the new challenge by Ferrari. “Intuition, courage, instinct, and human management are vital factors. At Ferrari, the drivers can rely on the constant support of their dedicated teams. They are not left to themselves as if they were solo sailors around the world. This is a whole different discipline. But a project in which Ferrari will soon be involved…” – the French manager concluded, as reported by the official Ferrari Magazine.
