Ferrari heads into the Austrian Grand Prix with renewed confidence following Lewis Hamilton’s impressive victory in Spain, but without losing sight of the areas that still require improvement. Ahead of the Red Bull Ring weekend, Ferrari team principal Fréd Vasseur emphasized the importance of maintaining the same approach that has guided the Scuderia’s work since the beginning of the season.
The French manager highlighted how the most recent race weekends have provided encouraging signs, while also reminding everyone that Ferrari’s development journey is far from complete. The team’s objective remains to deliver a clean and efficient weekend in every aspect, from trackside execution to strategic decision-making.
Austrian GP: Fréd Vasseur speaks ahead of the weekend
“We arrive in Austria encouraged by the positive signs we have shown over the last few races, although we are fully aware that there is still a lot of work to do and that we must continue focusing on ourselves.
“As we have done since the beginning of the season, we will approach this weekend with the same method and the same mindset, aiming to put together a smooth and consistent weekend in every area, from execution on track to the strategic decisions that need to be made on the pit wall.”
Vasseur also reiterated the importance of approaching the championship one race at a time, without allowing recent results or external expectations to influence the team’s mindset.
“We know that every weekend tells a different story. That is why we will continue to approach one race at a time, with humility and with the goal of extracting the maximum possible result.”
His comments reinforce the philosophy Ferrari has adopted in recent weeks: a strong focus on the work being done behind the scenes, meticulous attention to detail, and no distractions from the long-term development path that the team is determined to strengthen further at the Austrian circuit.
