Earlier today, Scuderia Ferrari have officially announced that it will present its car for the 2023 Formula 1 championship on Valentine’s Day. The Italian side therefore becomes the second team to confirm the reveal of their new challenger: the most successful and famous team in Formula 1 history will show us it new single-seater on Tuesday, February 14 – one day after Aston Martin.
The Maranello team has not provided any other details at this time regarding the location nor the name of their new challenger, which internally is called project 675, but most likely it will be revealed online, with the car then set to take to the Imola circuit for a Filming Day.
The next season will be a very important year for the Italian side, as Ferrari hope to build on the new-found competitiveness of this year’s F1 campaign and finally be able to challenge Red Bull and Mercedes for the world championships. The Maranello team and Charles Leclerc had a perfect start to the 2022 Formula 1 season, with two race victories in the first three rounds, only for a combination of operational mistakes and power unit technical failures to see them drop back. In the second part of the championship Red Bull was able to better develop their car and proved much faster than Ferrari’s F1-75 car.
The Maranello engineers though focused on the 2023 car early in the season, aware that Red Bull was almost impossible to beat, so Ferrari will clearly be hoping to win their first title in 15 years after some important management changes: Mattia Binotto has left the team and will be replaced by Frederic Vasseur, who starts work in next month.

According to Decalspotters, the independent motorsport coverage primarily focused on brand and sponsorship deals, there is also an important clue from Scuderia Ferrari’s official announcement regarding the presentation of the challenger for the 2023 Formula 1 season:
“Scuderia Ferrari’s 2023 car launch teaser hints an updated branding identity as the main colour Scarlet Red (left) could be replaced by a deeper shade of red, akin to Cardinal Red (right). Scarlet Red has been in use since 1997, when the team signed with PMI.” – Decalspotters posted on its Twitter account:
