Following a survey carried out among attendees of the 2024 Monza GP, encouraging data has surfaced for both the region and the event organizers. Let’s take a look at the aspects that were analyzed and the public’s opinion.
The organization of the Monza GP has often faced criticism, but the latest edition saw improvements, as confirmed by the fans who attended the circuit. The satisfaction was not limited to just the fans; the tourism sector also benefited from these days dedicated to motorsport.
During the race weekend, the company JFC conducted a study that continued in the days following the GP. The data collection focused on fans (with around 3,000 people interviewed) and representatives of the local tourism sector.
First and foremost, this research helped to better understand the type of audience that attended the event at the circuit. An important finding was the balanced age distribution: many young people participated, but older attendees also did not miss out on the fun. In terms of origin, more than half of the spectators at the circuit were from abroad (specifically 64%).
Regarding mobility, Monza still has room for improvement: complaints about transportation during the weekend were not lacking. According to the data collected, half of the attendees arrived at the circuit by car, while 20% opted for trains.
Monza Prepares for 2025
The opinion of the 3,000 spectators interviewed about their weekend experience was generally positive. This is an encouraging sign for the circuit, especially since about half of those interviewed intend to return to Monza for the 2025 GP.
After the joy brought by Ferrari in 2024, fans also appeared enthusiastic: Sunday is currently sold out. For those who were less fortunate and did not manage to purchase a ticket in time, new tickets for the grandstands and general admission will be available to all fans starting Monday, March 3, at 12:00 PM via this link.

Economic Impact
An event of this magnitude inevitably has economic repercussions. The CEO of JFC, the company that conducted the study, explained how the weekend impacted the region. “The €100 million in direct economic impact on all businesses involved in the event represents the most significant financial figure, as it consists of immediate revenue. Furthermore, the €340 million in total economic benefits clearly demonstrates a highly complex but, at the same time, extremely efficient management structure for the local economic system.”
The floor was then given to the President of the Circuit, who reiterated the organizers’ goal: to continuously improve the fan experience and ensure Monza’s place on the F1 calendar. “These results, while encouraging, do not represent an endpoint but rather the beginning of a promising phase of collaboration with institutions, initiated in 2024. This renewed form of cooperation must see us fully committed to addressing new and increasingly essential and challenging needs, with the goal of immediately strengthening the presence of the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Monza.”
