Lewis Hamilton has revealed what his ideal menu looks like for the first Christmas he will experience as one of Ferrari’s drivers. Christmas is a time to be with family and to rediscover a sense of calm that often goes missing during the year because of the frantic pace of everyday life. The same applies to Formula 1 drivers, who after twelve months travelling around the world finally get the chance to spend time with their loved ones and enjoy a festive moment before turning their thoughts to the new season.

But what do the twenty — or rather twenty-two — stars of the grid eat at Christmas? The answer came from Lewis Hamilton himself in a video published by Ferrari on its official social media channels. The seven-time world champion is preparing to experience what will be his first Christmas as a Ferrari driver, bringing to a close a challenging 2025 season. The process of adapting to his new team proved more complicated than expected, and it is easy to imagine that car number 44 may have asked Father Christmas for a more competitive car in 2026.
“My stepmother cooks the best crispy potatoes in the world. Then there’s the gravy, it’s basically like a Sunday roast but with more vegetables. And then you need a good dessert. I’d say a good cheesecake or a carrot cake. And to finish, lots of sweets and lots of candy. I like eating all these things on Christmas Day,” Lewis Hamilton said while talking about his ideal Christmas menu.
Simple dishes that reflect British tradition. Because in the end, everyone knows that what really matters is being with the people you love most and enjoying a calm day filled with happiness.
Lewis Hamilton’s holiday preferences therefore highlight his appreciation for simple British traditions like Sunday roasts and home-cooked desserts, offering a relatable glimpse into how even a Ferrari superstar unwinds and recharges before the intense preparations for the 2026 F1 season begin.
