The esosphere “The Sphere” will be one of the numerous elements of excess during the F1 weekend in Las Vegas. Formula 1 will use the sphere for projections and shows, but attention must be paid to the safety of the drivers.
Joel Fisher, Executive Vice President of MSG Entertainment, first emphasized the prestige of F1: “It is one of the major sporting events in the world. We are ready to showcase the ‘Sphere’ to the audience on-site and at home, demonstrating the incredible capabilities of the esosphere.”
With a surface area of over 54,000 square meters, standing at 112 meters in height and 157 in width, the Las Vegas Sphere is the largest spherical building in the world. The esosphere will welcome F1 with typical Stars and Stripes excesses, being right next to the track.
“It’s not just an addition to the Las Vegas circuit, but something that elevates it to new heights, making every lap a mesmerizing atmosphere for the audience at the circuit and at home,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of the GP.
Mesmerizing atmosphere, yes, but not for the drivers. During all sessions, the colors red, yellow, and blue will be forbidden. It is a categorical imperative to avoid distracting the drivers.
With some colors prohibited, what will be shown on the Las Vegas “Sphere” during the F1 weekend? The esosphere will display highlights of specific moments during the weekend. It will offer animations after qualifying and other special performances on the podium on Saturday night.

“Pole position in real-time, exciting podium celebrations, and a dynamic showcase of all 20 drivers and their iconic cars displayed in full size. We are excited to have ‘Sphere’ at the heart of the race weekend,” concluded Emily Prazer.
