Alfa Romeo Racing’s Kimi Raikkonen ended up seventh in the morning session of the last day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, but was one of only two drivers to set their best times on anything other than the C5.
The 2007 world champion – who caused the only red flag with eight minutes remaining when he stopped exiting the Turns 1 and 2 right-left at the start of the lap, effectively ending the session early – recorded a 1m17.239s on the C4 tyre and completed a total of 61 laps so far.
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel beat Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas to the top of the timesheets on the final morning of F1’s second pre-season Barcelona test with the fastest lap of the fortnight so far.
Formula 1’s final pre-season test session will begin at 14:00 local time.
