Formula 1 is still capable of captivating a large part of Italy, especially when racing at home, in the Temple of Speed at Monza, and when a red car is the first to cross the finish line.
Ferrari’s victory with Charles Leclerc at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza garnered a good number of viewers: the live broadcast of the Grand Prix, which aired at 3 PM on Sky Sport F1 and TV8, attracted a total of 3.766 million average viewers, with an overall TV share of 31.7%.
Specifically, on Sky, the race had an average audience of 1.419 million viewers with an 11.2% TV share, while on TV8, it was watched by 2.347 million average viewers with a 20.6% TV share. However, it should be noted that these figures are lower than those recorded for the Italian race 12 months ago.
Despite Max Verstappen’s ongoing series of triumphs – with Monza marking his record of 10 consecutive victories – the 2023 Italian GP reached a total of 4.1 million viewers. In 2022, the combined audience for Sky and TV8 even reached 4.7 million.
