This spring is proving to be unusually long for Formula 1 fans, who have now gone more than a month without a Grand Prix to enjoy on Sunday. The break is largely due to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, which led to the cancellation of both the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix.
However, the sport — always highly active on social media under the management of Liberty Media — has found an unusual but entertaining way to fill the gap and keep fans engaged during the break.
A cure for race withdrawal
Starting from midnight on Tuesday, April 14, Formula 1 launched a full 24-hour marathon of classic races, streamed for free on the official F1 YouTube channel. The races are being broadcast back-to-back, with a new Grand Prix shown every two hours.
It is a fun way for fans to spend the day revisiting some of the most iconic moments from the last two decades of Formula 1, whether at home or even from the office (ideally without the boss noticing).
Below is the list of races selected by Formula 1 for this special marathon. Fans can choose which “rewatch” moments are unmissable from this collection of modern classics:
- Australian Grand Prix 2025
- Chinese Grand Prix 2006
- Japanese Grand Prix 2005
- Singapore Grand Prix 2023
- Monaco Grand Prix 2018
- San Marino Grand Prix 2005
- Italian Grand Prix 2019
- British Grand Prix 2008
- German Grand Prix 2019
- Sakhir Grand Prix 2020
- Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010
- Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024
