2026 Singapore GP qualifying live
Good afternoon and welcome back, dear ScuderiaFans.com readers. After bringing you coverage of the Sprint Race, our live coverage of the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix weekend continues with qualifying, which starts at 15:00 and should finish roughly an hour later, provided there are no red flags or other interruptions. The session will give us the 17th pole-sitter of the season.
The clear favourite can only be Max Verstappen, who has dominated the weekend so far. After securing the “mini-pole position” in Friday’s Sprint Qualifying, Max Verstappen also claimed victory in the chaotic 100-kilometre Sprint Race.
Ferrari hopes to challenge Verstappen for Singapore GP pole
However, there is also a strong group of challengers looking for revenge after everything that happened in the wet conditions at Marina Bay on Saturday afternoon. Ferrari will hope to put both cars into the fight, with Lewis Hamilton looking particularly competitive and Charles Leclerc having briefly appeared capable of taking pole on Friday after the first runs in SQ3.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli is another driver to watch. The Mercedes driver has extended his championship advantage further but is still searching for answers from the latest upgrade package fitted to his car. George Russell, meanwhile, will be looking to recover after his major mistake in the Sprint Race.
The McLaren drivers will also be among the contenders after Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris made contact on the final lap of the Sprint. The question now is whether qualifying will produce a different competitive picture or whether the evidence from Sprint Qualifying and the Sprint Race has already given us a clear indication of how the rest of the weekend could unfold.
We will find out together as we follow and discuss 2026 Singapore Grand Prix qualifying at Marina Bay. The gaps and sector-by-sector performance from the session can also be explored through the F1 Qualifying Pace & Sector Comparison.
