The United States Grand Prix was absent between 2008-2011 before returning in 2012 at the new home, the Circuit of The Americas in Austin. The track at COTA is quite a long one with a lap of 5.5 km (3.4 miles) which means there are only 56 laps during the GP.
A lap consists of twenty corners with a long back straight between turns eleven and twelve. Turn one is one of the widest turns on the F1 calendar where you can expect plenty of overtaking.
Follow us live later in the afternoon for the latest info, news, updates and results from the Circuit of the Americas, as the 2021 United States Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF21 ready to challenge its rivals for the best possible result in the 15th round of the 2021 Formula One season.
