Slated for a return to the calendar in 2020, the first Dutch GP since 1985 had to be postponed amid the Covid-19 pandemic. It was then decided to schedule the event as the second race of a post-summer break triple header this September, between the Belgian and Italian GPs.
Two-thirds capacity crowd will be allowed to take part in the event this, after getting the go-ahead from the Dutch government to stage the race with a reduced number of fans. With Dutch driver Verstappen currently just a few points behind behind Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton in the fight for the title and very much a contender for this year’s crown, the atmosphere is sure to be electric at the Zandvoort track, as Ferrari will attempt to take advantage of any opportunities to get in the mix.
Follow us live later in the afternoon for the latest info, news, updates and results from the Zandvoort Circuit, as the 2021 Dutch Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the Ferrari SF21 car ready to challenge its rivals for the best possible result in the 13th round of the 2021 Formula One championship.
