F1, novità nel 2019: più carburante e obbligo guanti biometrici per piloti. Il vertice si è svolto oggi presso la sede della FIA a Parigi.

Più carburante e guanti biometrici obbligatori per i piloti di Formula 1 sono le due principali novità concordate dalla FIA per la stagione 2019, al termine del vertice con lo strategy group a Parigi. I nuovi guanti sono progettati per migliorare la sicurezza e fornire al personale medico un quadro migliore sulle condizioni del pilota dopo gli incidenti. Un sensore rileva la frequenza cardiaca, la quantità di ossigeno nel sangue e monitora la temperatura corporea.

Le auto della prossima stagione, poi, potranno utilizzare fino a 110 kg di carburante anziché 105, per consentire ai team di “utilizzare il motore al massimo della sua potenza in ogni momento”, ha spiegato la FIA in una nota. Una terza modifica per il prossimo anno consiste nel separare il peso del conducente da quello della macchina in modo da non penalizzare i piloti più pesanti in griglia. “Le discussioni proseguiranno sulle proposte relative all’aerodinamica, al fine di prendere una decisione entro la fine di aprile, una volta conclusa la ricerca condotta dalla FIA, in collaborazione con i team”, si legge ancora nel comunicato, come riporta repubblica.it.

Il vertice si è svolto oggi presso la sede della FIA a Parigi, alla presenza del presidente Jean Todt e del boss della F1 Chase Carey. La FIA ha anche presentato le sue proposte per i propulsori 2021: un motire da 1.6 litri di cilindrata, V6 Turbo Hybrid. “Il dipartimento tecnico della FIA si incontrerà ora con gli attuali produttori e quelli potenziali di power unit per discutere in modo più dettagliato, al fine di concludere i regolamenti del 2021 entro la fine di maggio”, ha concluso la FIA.
