Lando Norris clinched victory at the Mexican Grand Prix and has returned to the top of the F1 World Championship standings. With just four races remaining in the season, this result positions him comfortably in the hunt for what promises to be an exciting championship finale, no longer needing to play catch-up in the title battle.

In Mexico, Lando Norris fended off both Ferrari drivers at the start and then pulled away thanks to the superior performance of his McLaren. The victory was never in doubt, firmly reestablishing him as a strong contender for the championship crown.

Immediately after crossing the finish line, Lando Norris shared his feelings about the race. “I love everything about this, what a race! I just tried to stay focused on the track and look ahead. The race was quite straightforward for me, and that’s what I was aiming for. I did everything right and I’m very happy,” the British driver said.

The new championship leader also explained how he managed to hold off the two Ferraris at the start. “I stayed calm and got a good start. That made the difference. This is my first victory in Mexico, and it’s fantastic. I will take it one weekend at a time. I’m happy and focused on myself. I will continue to do my best in these remaining races,” he added.
