F1 Canadian GP, the race live
Good evening to all ScuderiaFans.com readers, and welcome to our live coverage of the race — the highlight of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
The action gets underway at 22:00 with the formation lap, with the race scheduled to run over 70 laps. If there are no interruptions, the chequered flag is expected at around 23:30.
Starting from pole position is George Russell, who once again confirmed his impressive form at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and will be aiming to repeat last year’s victory in Montreal. However, all eyes will also be on teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli, lining up right alongside him after showing exceptional pace in the Sprint Race. Could another intense battle between the Mercedes pair be about to unfold?
Then there is the ever-present weather question mark, once again echoing the uncertainty seen in Miami. Rain remains a realistic possibility, although conditions remain difficult to predict with certainty. If the weather does intervene, the competitive picture could be turned upside down.
That scenario could open the door for both McLaren drivers, Ferrari, and Max Verstappen to insert themselves into the fight at the front. Ferrari, in particular, may see an opportunity, with Lewis Hamilton appearing slightly better placed overall than Charles Leclerc, who has struggled more to find the ideal feeling with the SF-26 across the weekend.
Who will come out on top? Follow the race with us live as the Canadian Grand Prix brings the Formula 1 weekend to its conclusion.
