The moment to discover the new SF26, the car that will defend Ferrari’s colours in the 2026 Formula 1 season, is almost here. Here is when and how to follow the official presentation.
The wait is almost over. One of the most eagerly anticipated events for Formula 1 fans in Italy and around the world is about to take place. The presentation of the new SF26, the single-seater on which Ferrari are placing their hopes for the 2026 F1 world championship, will take place on Friday, January 23, at Fiorano. The new creation from Maranello will lay the foundations for the new technical cycle, and failure would mean extending an already long title drought.
For this reason, very little information has emerged from the team so far, a clear sign of a squad that has chosen to work with a low profile. Few bold statements and more focus on concrete work: this appears to be the strategy adopted by Vasseur and his staff this year. For the team principal himself, this represents a crucial test, as his future at Ferrari will largely depend on the performance the new SF26 is able to deliver on track.
How and when to follow the presentation
The new single-seater will be driven for the second consecutive season by the Leclerc-Hamilton pairing, with particular attention on the British driver, who is looking for a major comeback after a difficult previous campaign. The presentation of the new Ferrari will be broadcast live on Sky Sport F1 starting at 11:00 on Friday, January 23, according to the broadcaster’s schedule. It is reasonable to expect that the live coverage will also be available on Sky’s YouTube channel, as well as across the various social media platforms of Scuderia Ferrari HP F1.
Following the presentation, Ferrari will carry out an initial shakedown covering just a few kilometres on the private Fiorano circuit. These first on-track moments will likely also be shown by Sky, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in the unmistakable Ferrari atmosphere that will surround the circuit as the SF26 completes its first laps.
Of course, it is impossible to predict whether this new car will be capable of bringing the world title back to Maranello. What is certain, however, is the emotion that any Formula 1 fan, in Italy and beyond, will feel when they see the SF26 on track for the very first time.
