For Ferrari, the Miami Grand Prix represents a new beginning of the 2026 season. The Maranello-based team arrives in Florida for the resumption of the championship after a forced one-month break, bringing a substantial aerodynamic development package for the evolution of the SF-26. The objective is to close the gap to Mercedes, which has dominated the first three rounds with two victories from Kimi Antonelli and one from George Russell.
Simulations from the Prancing Horse, after careful work in defining the updates introduced at the first of three Grands Prix in the United States, appear promising. As a result, the technical staff led by Loic Serra is confident in a significant step forward from the SF-26.
Roberto Chinchero, in a pit lane segment, provides us with the first images of the Ferrari.

And, while waiting to understand the full extent of the updates, we can already anticipate the front wing changes which, from the photographs taken during the filming day held in Monza on April 22, did not clearly reveal the scope of the interventions carried out in the wind tunnel by Diego Tondi and Franck Sanchez.
The structure of the nose and the main profile remains unchanged, while the movable flaps have only been adapted to the requirements of the street circuit that runs around the Hard Rock Stadium. The major changes, however, concern the new design of the side endplate and the footplane on its outer section.
Ferrari’s intention is to enhance the outwash effect, pushing airflow outward around the front wheel. The endplate, as can easily be seen, features a noticeable twist up to the usual sensor position in order to anticipate flow separation.
The outer “kerb” area has been completely redesigned. At the leading edge near the curl, a flow diverter has appeared, pushing air outward and, together with the side endplate, creating a channel that highlights how much attention has been given to micro-aerodynamic development in this area of the SF-26.
The curl of the footplane is less pronounced, and its influence gradually reduces with a smooth flattening. Near the trailing edge, a small external channel can also be observed outside the side flap.
This is the first in a series of updates from the Scuderia that we will continue to show you as soon as we are able to identify them…
