Ferrari is losing a well-known face from its garage. Riccardo Corte departs the Prancing Horse after eleven years, during which he held several prominent positions. Arriving in Maranello with the introduction of hybrid power units, he concentrated on optimizing control and energy management systems. Later, he managed simulator operations and all preparatory and analytical work for race weekends.
In 2022, he began collaborating with Charles Leclerc as a driver coach before moving to Carlos Sainz’s pit as performance engineer, the same role he held until last summer, this time alongside Lewis Hamilton.
Riccardo Corte leaves Ferrari and moves to Australia
After Formula 1 and Ferrari, Riccardo Corte’s next challenge will be in Australia. The announcement came directly from Grove Racing, a team competing in the Supercars championship. Starting in 2026, Corte will serve as the race engineer for Kai Allen, a young Australian driver considered a major talent in the local motorsport scene.
“I am really proud to join Grove Racing at such an exciting time for the team. The progress made in recent seasons is impressive, and the victory at the Bathurst 1000 demonstrates what can be achieved with the right people and mindset. After eleven years at Ferrari, I look forward to bringing that experience into the world of Supercars, helping the team continue to grow and make the most of every opportunity on track,” the team stated in their official announcement.
