Scuderia Ferrari hasn’t changed on its F1-75 car as compared to the one seen in the first pre-season testing session at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto confirmed in the team principal’s press conference earlier that the Maranello team wants to find out what the real potential of the car is and that there are only small changes to reduce the bouncing, one of the problems which everyone still has to solve as soon as possible.
This morning Formula 1 Technical Analyst Giorgio Piola showed us the vertical bulkhead that appeared on the bottom in front of the anti porpoising hole which was introduced in the Barcelona tests and now he was able to show us (via MotorSport) a solution that was introduced near the chassis in front of the Venturi channel entrance.

Scuderia Ferrari has added a rectangular bulkhead (white arrow) that extends from the leading edge of the floor: the strip is a flow conveyor which channels the air towards the small edge that forms under the radiator outlet and follows the sidepod trend.
The intention is quite clear: to try to push the flow towards the outside of the rear wheel. The Maranello technicians are working to seal the floor to the asphalt, without crawling on the track, adopting a specific set up, that is to say with the nose slightly raised and the rear crouched near the elbow of the extractor.
Ferrari is analyzing all the opportunities to extract the maximum potential of the F1-75 car in this last pre-season testing session.
