F1, Ferrari: ecco la novità scoperta grazie al crash di Sebastian Vettel!. L’incidente durante le qualifiche ha messo a nudo alcune soluzioni.

Sulla SF1000 oltre alle modifiche di dettaglio che si sono notate all’ala anteriore e alla paratia laterale di quella posteriore, a Sochi si sono viste delle soluzioni al cape e, soprattutto, ai turnig vanes che evidenziano un importante lavoro di sviluppo che nei prossimi GP toccherà anche barge board e fondo. Il botto di Vettel in Q2 ha messo a nudo alcuni segreti della Rossa.

L’incidente di Sebastian Vettel durante le qualifiche ha messo a nudo alcune soluzioni che la Ferrari contava di tenere nascoste. Il pacchetto di novità introdotte a Sochi sono maggiori di quelle che si erano viste nelle prove libere: modifiche di dettaglio nell’ala anteriore e nella paratia laterale di quella posteriore, sotto.

Il crash del tedesco in Q2 ha permesso ai nostri fotografi di cogliere l’inedito turning vanes sotto al telaio della SF1000 che funziona in perfetta sintonia con il cape che è stato modificato anche nella parte terminale più arcuata di prima.

Il turning vanes del GP di Russia è costituito da elementi molto più grandi: il primo arriva in altezza all’ingresso della presa d’aria che alimenta l’S-duct. L’insieme è composto da sei parti (quattro sotto al muso e due sotto alla scocca) di dimensioni sempre minori man mano che si va verso il centro vettura. Ciascun convogliatore di flusso ha forma e orientamento diverso per far convergere il flusso sotto al telaio e incanalarlo verso il fondo.

Al piede di questa soluzione si osserva un marciapiede che è a punta nell’anteriore e diventa di sezione triangolare più indietro: si tratta di una struttura in carbonio che è ancorata al telaio.

Su questo pavimento hanno trovato posto tre file di generatori di vortice in prossimità degli ultimi tre elementi del turning vanes. La prima fila è formata da una coppia di profili verticali a collo di cigno che sono di corda più stretta, ma sono più alti dei tre che compongono la seconda e la terza schiera. Oltre che a essere gradualmente più bassi sono anche man mano più larghi.

Non solo, ma quelli più vicini al telaio sono più alti rispetto a quelli che via via si vedono verso l’esterno. Gli aerodinamici, dunque, hanno svolto un grosso lavoro di micro-aerodinamica che inizia dalle due bocche ai lati del nasino del muso e si protrarrà verso i barge board e il fondo, vale a dire le prossime aree che saranno soggette di modifica nei prossimi Gran Premi.

Nelle prove libere sono state fatte diverse prove comparative con i nuovi turning vanes a confronto con quelli usati fino al Mugello, sotto.

La Ferrari dopo aver individuato i molti problemi che affliggono questa SF1000 zoppicante sta introducendo una serie di sviluppi che dovrebbero migliorarne il comportamento nella seconda parte della stagione con il chiaro intento di mettere le basi a un 2021 un po’ meno tribolato quando si useranno i gettoni di sviluppo e verrà omologato un motore completamente nuovo che dovrebbe restituire qualche cavallo che manca allo 065/2.
