F1 | Charles Leclerc hits the track at Mugello as Ferrari conducts key test
Today, Ferrari will take to the track with Charles Leclerc at the Mugello circuit to complete an important test ahead of the next Formula 1 season.
On this day, Charles Leclerc will drive on the Tuscan Mugello circuit to carry out a crucial session for Scuderia Ferrari in preparation for the upcoming racing season. Alongside the Monegasque driver, other pilots will also be on track. Below, we detail the full schedule of the day.
A few months ago, in mid-July, Ferrari had already spent two days at the Mugello circuit testing the new rear suspension, which was later brought to the track during the Spa weekend. In anticipation of the Singapore Grand Prix, the team has returned to those curves, with on-track activity having started yesterday.
The first day was fully dedicated to a TPC test session alongside the Haas team, which helps collect data useful for Pirelli and for performance comparisons with Ferrari. In fact, in addition to Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon, Arthur Leclerc and Guanyu Zhou also took to the track. Antonio Giovinazzi was absent as he is busy competing in the WEC in Japan.
Today, however, it is the official drivers’ turn. Charles Leclerc will drive a modified SF25 designed to simulate and analyze loads and characteristics in preparation for the next year, when the regulations will change completely. If all goes well, Ferrari and Haas are expected to gather valuable data on the 2026 tires, allowing them to define more reliable and high-performing compounds.
Lewis Hamilton is absent from the test, choosing to stay close to his dog Roscoe, who is going through a difficult period. For this reason, Guanyu Zhou, Ferrari’s third driver, will join Leclerc on track today.
