Scuderia Ferrari completed two days of testing at the Fiorano circuit with the F1-75, as the Maranello team’s drivers took to the track to test the full wet tires of Pirelli for 2023. Ferrari’s home tracj was suitably for such a test because of its automatic irrigation system, unique together with that of Paul Ricard circuit.
On Wednesday, Carlos Sainz was the first to hit the track, after the Spanish driver finished second in the Monaco GP, while yesterday, it was Charles Leclerc’s turn. Carlos suffered a harmless spin that didn’t create any problems for to the work program that the Pirelli technicians had prepared for the Maranello team, as Ferrari, at least recently, has become the most collaborative team in Formula 1, given that the Italian side had already participated in the development session that Pirelli organized at Enzo and Dino Ferrari after the Emilia Romagna GP.
After the controversy that emerged following the publication of Motorsport Italy’s images that showed the use of the floor which had actually already been used in the previous Australian GP in a run during FP1, Pirelli did not provide any news and did not post even one photos of the tests on its social networks as they always did.
Before ending the day, Charles Leclerc had the privilege of driving a 1967 312 that was being restored at Ferrari Classiche. The car was approved on the track after the complete restoration and the Monegasque had the opportunity to drive it for a lap, thus acquiring another frame in the history of the Prancing Horse.
