At Ferrari, work is already underway for 2025, and while the engineers focus on the SF-25, Charles Leclerc is trying to learn as much as possible about Lewis Hamilton.
Charles Leclerc is now preparing for 2025, attempting to get to know his future teammate at Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton, better. For next year, the Monegasque driver intends to start the season on the right foot with the Englishman to avoid any tension in their coexistence.
Charles getting to know Lewis
Giving an idea of their private conversations, Charles Leclerc explained: “Lewis and I already had a good relationship in the past, but since we found out we would be teammates next year, we’ve started to get to know each other a bit more.” – he pointed out.
“And we’ve talked quite a bit about our common passions, like music, for example, or fashion. We haven’t talked much about racing yet, because he’s still completely focused on his season with Mercedes, and I’m still focused on this season, but that will come,” he continued with L’Equipe.
Charles Leclerc knows very well that Hamilton could be an enormous asset to Ferrari and his career: “It’s interesting because I will be able to learn from one of the best drivers in F1 history, and it’s very motivating because I’m curious about the comparison with Lewis in the same car. For these two reasons, I can’t wait to start this new chapter.” – he added.
The Monegasque driver had already made it clear in the past that he intends to absorb as much knowledge as possible when Lewis Hamilton arrives at Maranello. “When you have a seven-time world champion joining the team, it’s always good news, very interesting, and very motivating,” he said to Motorsport Italia earlier this season.
