Fuoco explains the work done in Mexico
During one of the press conferences held at Mugello for the Ferrari World Finals, Antonio Fuoco explained his role during the Mexican weekend that has seen the Scuderia in the spotlight. “First of all, it was definitely a fantastic experience, a tremendous opportunity, and I am grateful to Ferrari for this chance. We do a lot of work on the simulator. So it was valuable both for me and for the team to analyze the correlation between the simulator and the track. The priority was absolutely not to set a fast lap time. We had to collect as much data as possible and provide feedback to the simulator. Naturally, as a driver, you always want to maximize performance, but at that moment it wasn’t my priority. I think we did a good job, we collected the data we needed, and everyone is happy,” the Italian explained.
“I really enjoyed FP1 to the fullest. Regarding the setup, I wouldn’t know what to say, as it is not my task to talk about that. I gained experience, had fun, and really enjoyed it. I thank the team for this incredible opportunity and hope that the data we collected on track will be useful for this weekend and for the future,” Fuoco added.
