Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc had a chance to take 19 points out of Max Verstappen’s world championship lead at the Silverstone circuit in the British Grand Prix, but he came away having only made up six, after falling back to fourth due to a late safety car restart.
That’s put scrutiny on the Maranello team’s tactics – scrutiny that boss Mattia Binotto did not appreciate on Sunday night at Silverstone given the Italian side still won the race with Carlos Sainz.
