What to expect from Formula 1: Drive to Survive 8
It’s easy to predict that the main storyline of the eighth season will revolve around the fight for the world title. Netflix will interview the central figures in this battle—Max Verstappen and, most notably, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. McLaren is expected to face the most pressure, balancing the challenge of securing the Constructors’ Championship while preventing internal rivalry between their two drivers.
2025 was also the year of the rookies: from the Italian Kimi Antonelli to the return of Oliver Bearman to the grid as a full-time driver, the season offered plenty of surprises for the newcomers as well.
Fans can also expect some behind-the-scenes glimpses of drivers’ lives off the track, including the internal chaos at Red Bull Racing following the departure of Christian Horner.
Drive to Survive 8 will debut on Netflix on February 27, one week before the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
