F1 considering rotation principle for calendar amid many requests to host races. F1 considering rotation principle for calendar .

According to German automobile magazine ‘Auto Motor und Sport’, Formula 1 is taking into consideration the possibility of using a rotation principle in the race calendar for the future, because there are lots of requests from everyhwere, wanting to host a race: Africa, Asia, USA.

There is talks that South Africa wants to host a Formula 1 race again, with Morocco as a possible new host.

Meanwhile China is hoping for a second Formula 1 race, especially now that Alfa Romeo has finally confirmed that Guanyu Zhou will become China’s first Formula 1 driver when he partners Valtteri Bottas next season. South Korea is said to have made contact with the Formula 1 management too, while F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali is also focused on the idea of a third race in the United States: “As of today, the US market would be ready for it.” – the former Ferrari boss explained.

Not only that, the Formula 1 management would love to bring back a race to Germany. However, at this moment both Hockenheim and the Nürburgring use the argument of financing, as Stefano Domenicali explained: “My biggest regret of all, is to see that there is not this interest from the German market to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix.”
