Charles Leclerc shared his thoughts on Friday’s action at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, highlighting a Ferrari that once again looks ready to fight at the front ahead of qualifying.
The night sessions in Nevada delivered two practice runs marked by constant interruptions and unusually cold temperatures, conditions that made it difficult for every driver to put together a clean and representative lap. Despite the challenges, Charles Leclerc immediately showed strong form, ending the first day with a first place and a third place that firmly place him among the favourites heading into qualifying.
Charles Leclerc’s comments after the opening day of running
At the end of the first day of track activity in Sin City, Charles Leclerc reviewed Ferrari’s performance and how he felt behind the wheel. “Our pace seems to be good and we look to be in a pretty positive position. That said, our rivals are very fast and we need to see what will happen in qualifying. It will definitely be very close and I hope we can do everything in the best possible way to start from the front. Now we need to understand what the conditions will be and prepare in the best way,” he told Ferrari’s official channels at the end of the second free practice session for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The key now will be to wait and see how the conditions evolve in Las Vegas ahead of a qualifying session that could prove decisive not only for the weekend, but also for the wider championship picture.
