Formula 1 is back on track in Montreal: join us for live updates of the Canadian GP qualifying. Ferrari has not had the best start to the race weekend. During Friday’s free practice sessions, Charles Leclerc crashed in the first session, causing significant damage to his SF-25. For this reason, the Monegasque missed FP2 and arrives at qualifying having only completed one practice session.
The weekend in Canada will be crucial for McLaren, which could further consolidate its dominance and extend its lead in the championship. Oscar Piastri remains the championship leader, holding a 10-point advantage over teammate Lando Norris.
Mercedes and Red Bull will do everything they can to challenge Ferrari’s hold on second place in the constructors’ championship. The Silver Arrows will rely on two drivers, Russell and Antonelli — who, after a promising start to the season, has been sidelined several times from the points zone due to a series of errors. The Austrian team, on the other hand, will depend on the usual Max Verstappen, currently third in the drivers’ standings and the only one capable of challenging Andrea Stella’s McLaren boys.
The start of Canadian GP qualifying is scheduled to go live at 22:00 Central European Summer Time. Our LIVE commentary on the session will begin around 21:55 on our website in the video below:
