F1 Austrian GP FP3 live
Good morning, dear ScuderiaFans.com readers, and welcome to our live coverage of the third and final free practice session of the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix weekend. FP3 will get underway at 12:30 CEST and will run for one hour, concluding at 13:30 CEST. This final practice session will be crucial as teams make their last setup adjustments before the weekend’s decisive sessions—qualifying later today and Sunday’s Grand Prix.
Friday’s running was dominated by Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who narrowly edged teammate George Russell by just a few thousandths of a second in FP1 before producing an even more convincing performance during the afternoon session. The young Mercedes driver not only topped the single-lap pace but also looked particularly impressive over the long runs, opening a comfortable advantage over the rest of the field.
While McLaren and Red Bull appeared to be the closest challengers, Ferrari was arguably the biggest surprise of the opening day—but not for the reasons the Scuderia would have hoped. The Italian team spent much of Friday well down the timing screens and failed to stand out even during the high-fuel race simulations, leaving plenty of question marks ahead of the remainder of the weekend.
For that reason, much like the situation seen two weeks ago in Barcelona, FP3 promises to be one of the most intriguing sessions to analyse. Will Ferrari reveal more of its true potential? Can Mercedes maintain its advantage, or will McLaren and Red Bull close the gap before qualifying? Join us throughout the session as we bring you live updates, analysis and all the key moments from the final practice session of the 2026 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix.
