The Monaco Grand Prix has brought significant changes to the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship standings, with Lewis Hamilton emerging as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the weekend in Monte Carlo.
While Andrea Kimi Antonelli strengthened his grip on the championship with another impressive victory, Lewis Hamilton’s strong result allowed the Ferrari driver to climb to second place in the standings. At the same time, George Russell’s difficult weekend proved costly, as the Mercedes driver slipped behind both his teammate and Hamilton in the title race.
Antonelli now sits comfortably at the top of the championship with 156 points, while Lewis Hamilton moves into second place on 90 points, narrowly ahead of George Russell on 88. Charles Leclerc remains fourth despite his retirement in Monaco, with Oscar Piastri completing the top five.
