Set up behind the grandstands located on the starting/finish straight, the Fanzone Activation returns at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, commonly known as Imola. For the 2023 edition, the area dedicated to fans will be open every day for grandstand or general admission ticket holders. But it doesn’t end there. In fact, on Thursday 18, the attractions will also be accessible to those who do not have a ticket for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix race weekend.
Many activities will be made available by the organizers of the Made in Italy Grand Prix. The Ferris wheel will be a key element of attention: with its 32 meters in height, it will allow fans to enjoy an exclusive glance of the Enzo and Dino Ferrari venue.
At the disposal of Formula 1 fans there will also be the F1 Blast Lane, a real wind tunnel. The particularity? Instead of cars, fans will be hit by the air flow, complete with a camera ready to immortalize the moment.
The collection that will make up the “Driver Delta” exhibition is interesting. Here it will be possible to retrace the salient moments of the careers of the 20 drivers currently on the Formula 1 grid, complete with photographs and videos. A journey through time will then allow you to discover the Formula 1 of the future thanks to the Net Zero 2030 initiative. In fact, some videos will reveal how the sport intends to continue along the path of sustainability.

Pit Stop, simulators and the world champion’s trophy
The Pit Stop and E-Sports areas will then involve the public. The first, now a must for all Fanzones, will allow you to try your hand at changing tyres. The fastest fans will then be called upon to challenge each other in a final: the winning team will be given merchandise signed by the drivers. The area of virtual single-seaters is also a classic by now. Here fans will be able to drive the most advanced simulators in an attempt to set the best time and win the many prizes up for grabs.
Among the most exclusive activities there will be the 4D Show. Available to the public a few times during the day, the luckiest fans will be able to live a 4D experience around an F1 showcar. Between immersive sounds and air cannons, it will be like being onboard a real F1 car!
Last but not least, fans will be able to savor the feeling of standing on the podium. With a Pirelli cap and bottles of Ferrari Trento, it will be like winning a GP. Speaking of winners, the trophy that is awarded to the world champion every year will be exclusively present in the Fanzone area. No replica, it is the original trophy won by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen last season.
There is just less than a month left for the return of Formula 1 to Italy. Few tickets are still available on the Imola Autodrome website, with the event which will soon be sold out.
