In this latest video, we delve into a crucial technical innovation showcased by the Ferrari SF-24, with a specific focus on the all-new air duct situated near the Bypass Duct. Ferrari had previously introduced the bypass duct on the SF-23 last year, generating considerable interest. This duct draws in air from the sidepod inlets, directing it onto the engine cover and creating a blowing effect that optimizes the airflow on the engine cover.
The Ferrari engineering team has chosen to reintroduce this distinctive feature on the SF-24. However, there is now an additional “deflector” positioned above the channel’s outlet. This component, connected to the base of the Halo, is likely designed to refine the airflow by “cleansing” it and directing it in a specific manner towards the rear of the car.
