The 2023 Formula 1 season witnessed a decline in racing quality, attributed in part to overlooked development loopholes that may not be rectified for several years. While much of the season’s conversation centered around Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s dominance, there was another consistent concern.
Despite the runaway success of Max Verstappen, who claimed victory in an impressive 19 out of 22 races, there appeared to be a sense of the field getting closer this year. However, the disappointing revelation was that, when it came to how well these closely-matched cars could actually race, the news was not favorable.
