In a recent interview, Seb expressed his thoughts on the matter: “You can never rule out such a thing [returning to F1], but at some point, time will be up. My age was not an issue, and the decision to stop was mine, and I didn’t make it just to change my mind a year later. I have the privilege of spending more time with my family and my children, and that’s a priority. I’ve rediscovered the world in recent years, while Formula 1, no matter how big it may be, has become smaller and smaller,” he concluded, making it very challenging to draw a concrete answer from these statements.

On one hand, the German still clearly expresses his love for motorsport, a recurring theme in his interviews since he announced his retirement last year. On the other hand, there is a clear desire to focus on other interests, including family and environmental conservation.

We will see if Sebastian Vettel decides to return to Formula 1, as many legends have done in the past (such as Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso), but even if it doesn’t happen, the former Ferrari driver will forever remain a part of the history of this sport.
