Scuderia Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will unveil the new 2023 single-seater on February 14th. Contrary to what was initially reported, the Maranello team had to bring the presentation of the new F1 2023 forward by a day in order to better organize an event which, at 90% should be held “far away” from Maranello.
The design of the car, known at the moment with the project number 675, has entered the final phase, i.e. the one that sees the finalization of the construction of some new components, the nose crash test for approval and the assembly of some parts.
The Ferrari F1 2023, according to what has been reported by various media outlets based on inside sources, should be marked by a certain stylistic continuity with the single-seater that preceded it, the F1-75.
NOSE
We will see a slightly revised front in terms of shape, especially the “nose”, which in 2022 was characterized by a very particular and original shape.
SIDEPODS
The very original shape of the Ferrari F1-75’s sidepods will be revised. A project, which started before last summer, had led to evaluating a concept similar to the one adopted by Red Bull. However, it would seem that that solution was then discarded, favoring a development that is more in line with what was seen on the F1-75. The conformation of the upper part of the sidepods themselves should therefore be maintained, characterized by a “U” shape and large intakes for the evacuation of hot air.
The length of the sidepods themselves should undergo a reduction, with an optimization work in the final part, in front of the rear wheels. The vents will also change, increasing the height and decreasing the width of the opening.

FLOOR
We expect the most relevant changes on the new Ferrari car to be found on the floor of the single-seater. All the part highlighted in yellow in the image below from a ChronoGP video has undergone a complete redesign. From the entrance on the sides to the actual Venturi tunnels, to the diffuser and the endplate. The work of the Maranello technicians involved a complete redesign of all the components to better adapt to the new ride height imposed by the regulations and the anti-porpoising directive.

At the moment, nothing has yet been leaked regarding the name or on the livery of the new Ferrari F1 2023 which should maintain a color similar to this year’s. However, the images used by the Maranello team when announcing the date for the official car launch suggest an updated branding identity could take place, as the main colour Scarlet Red could be replaced by a deeper shade of red, akin to Cardinal Red.
