The data was sourced from the DHL fastest pitstop award recordings. “Box-box” plots are useful in seeing how consistent or spread out a data set is. The data within the box cover the 25th to 75th percentile of data points and the whiskers covers the min/max stop times (within the filtered data). A filter was used to eliminate extremely slow stops – this cutoff time was based off of all data points within this period. The central (vertical) line within the box indicates the median of that specific data set. This is a more representative measure of overall performance rather than an average since they do not skew the results based on one-off bad/good stops:
