According to the drivers, the Losail race was one of the most physically demanding in recent years. The on-board images of Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc during the Qatar GP are impressive, as is the silence of the FIA.
There are various situations to analyze, from the tire chaos on Friday to the extreme weather conditions that framed the weekend, where Max Verstappen was crowned World Champion for the third time. Nevertheless, there has been no comment from the Federation regarding the Losail weekend, except for the customary statements announcing changes made on Saturday and Sunday.
The heat and humidity in Qatar resulted in drivers arriving at the finish line exhausted. Among them, Logan Sargeant chose to retire from the race due to excessive fatigue.
When examining the on-board footage of various drivers, Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc’s footage is particularly impressive. In the case of Aston Martin’s driver, as visible in this link, he appears to nearly faint during the race, putting his safety and that of other drivers at risk. The consequences of these moments, which fortunately lasted very briefly, could have been much more severe.
Regarding Charles Leclerc, in his last laps, as seen in this video, you can observe his physical struggles. The Ferrari’s number 16 attempts to place his helmet as close as possible to the neck supports to reduce the impact of G-forces on his body. In some instances, it even seems that his head cannot endure the lateral accelerations caused by the car.

This is an anomalous but predictable situation considering the Qatari weather. Therefore, it might be appropriate for the FIA to intervene since, in the pursuit of spectacle, it could be the drivers who are most affected.
