The popular streaming platform has unveiled the February 2024 updates, bringing news for Formula 1 enthusiasts. The release date for the sixth season of the series on the F1 World Championship, titled “Drive To Survive 6,” is finally known!
The first historic season of the series was recorded during the 2018 championship, available to the public in the winter of 2019. Since then, Netflix has produced the following five seasons, including the one covering the 2023 championship, which will be available shortly. Unlike the first season, where the top teams refused to participate, all subsequent seasons have involved all ten teams on the grid.
The series has significantly contributed to the increase in the sport’s popularity, especially in the United States. “Drive To Survive” is one of the elements pushing the circus towards its spectacularization, not appreciated by a large portion of fans and even by the protagonists themselves, such as Christian Horner and Max Verstappen.
The sixth season, set to release on February 23, 2024, was announced through a post containing the February schedule on Netflix. This date, by the way, coincides with the last day of testing in Bahrain, marking the beginning of the 2024 season.
As with previous seasons, there will be ten episodes in the documentary series, retracing the 2023 season of the Formula 1 World Championship.
