Following Wednesday’s snow day, Formula One has had a much more productive morning on Thursday at the Circuit de Catalunya, despite the fact that it has still been a wet one. The rain is forecast to fall around midday, growing steadily heavier as the day progresses. The good news, though, is that it should be rain and rain alone with no snow expected on Thursday. The day’s high is 14’C, rather balmy compared to Wednesday’s 2.
Sebastian Vettel has been in action for Scuderia Ferrari, along with Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes). It was a rather quiet start for the German driver, and despite the fact that the track did not dry quite as quickly as teams might have liked, conditions began to gradually improve and Sebastian completed 35 laps during the morning session, with a personal best of 1:36.162 on the Intermediate tyres.
