The Monegasque Formula 1 driver takes the spotlight, not on the track, but in the kitchen this time.
FORMIGINE. To “compose it,” he chose two strictly products from the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, namely raw ham and shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano. At that point, he had nothing left but to taste it and… put it on the menu, for a specialty born in the Casinalbo restaurant and unique throughout Italy: the Charles Leclerc pizza. From a Christmas party in a pizzeria, the idea of creating a pizza dedicated to the Ferrari champion was born and is now available for everyone to taste.
THE PICCADILLY IDEA
It happens in the fraction of Formigine, specifically at the Piccadilly restaurant-pizzeria on Via Nenni, now a reference point for the Monegasque champion. Charles Leclerc particularly appreciates the “Hd” pizza, which led Ilie Postica, the Piccadilly’s pizza chef, to rank 21st at the Pizza World Championship held in Parma in April 2023. The latest “surprise” came last Tuesday when Charles Leclerc organized the Christmas dinner at the Casinalbo restaurant with all the mechanics and friends of Ferrari and their families.
CELEBRATION, AUTOGRAPHS, AND SELFIES
A celebration also for other customers of the pizzeria, who did not miss the opportunity to get autographs and ask for the now inevitable selfie with the champion. “We are very happy that Charles chose our restaurant,” comments Simon Fistill, administrator of Piccadilly, “to organize his Christmas dinner with the entire staff.”
And it was precisely from Tuesday’s party that the idea of creating the Charles Leclerc pizza was born: an “Hd” with ham and shavings of Parmesan, “signed” by the champion and included in the menu.
