Red Bull Vs Ferrari or Mercedes Vs Red Bull? Who knows what is the comparison that fans judge best according to their preferences. Surely the heated challenge with the German team last year forced the Austrian side to raise the tone both in front of journalists and to beat their fists on political plans. Something that is certainly no longer happening this year, since the challenge with Ferrari is proving to be much sportier.
Horner: “There’s no bullshit with Ferrari”
An aspect that, despite what Formula 1 fans may think, was greatly appreciated by Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner: “We are obviously competing, but we resolve all our issues on the track. There are no politics or bullshit to influence our battle, “he told ‘Autosport’ about the battle against the Maranello team in the 2022 Formula 1 season.
“There is mutual respect between the teams. At every race which took place so far we have always witnessed a substantial head-to-head between us and Ferrari”, which however has never led to any issues between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. “Even among the drivers there is a genuine respect and that’s a good thing, “he concluded.
The drivers have never had any arguments and the team principals, Christian Horner and Mattia Binotto, seem to get along well and agree on the most important aspects relating to the Formula 1 rules and regulation, except for the status Red Bull should have when it comes to the power unit manufacturers for the 2026 F1 season.
For now, the two teams are in talks with the FIA and together carry out the same battle against the introduction of the rule changes proposed by the FIA to limit porpoising next season, which both Ferrari and Red Bull feel are aimed to help Mercedes reduce the gap to the top two teams of the 2022 season.

A scenario that would have been impossible to image for last year. There are those who prefer to have a little bit rivalry, but many don’t mind seeing some healthy and ‘genuine’ competition, just to quote Horner. It hadn’t happened for years and… it has its charm.
