Charles Leclerc has introduced a special black Ferrari helmet design for the Singapore Grand Prix, giving his usual Formula 1 look a dramatic transformation for the Marina Bay weekend. The helmet keeps unmistakable Ferrari identity while replacing the more familiar red-led appearance with a dark base, bright blue and pink detailing and several visual references to Singapore.
The design is centred around a glossy black finish, with the Monegasque’s number 16 appearing prominently in a large blue-toned graphic. The colour treatment creates a distinctly night-race feel, with turquoise, cyan, pink and purple accents running around the shell and contrasting sharply with the darker background.
Charles Leclerc’s Singapore GP helmet uses Marina Bay-inspired details
One of the most distinctive elements is the Singapore-themed artwork incorporated around the lower section of the helmet. A stylised city skyline forms part of the graphic treatment, complemented by imagery that evokes some of the most recognisable architectural features associated with Marina Bay.
The effect fits naturally with Formula 1’s Singapore setting without abandoning the personal identity of Leclerc’s helmet. The number 16 remains one of the dominant elements, while the Ferrari shield is positioned prominently on the upper area of the design.
A red-and-white panel on the top also carries Singapore Grand Prix branding, adding another direct reference to the event. Fine coloured lines wrap around the helmet and connect the different sections of the artwork, helping the design maintain a continuous visual theme from front to rear.
Ferrari branding remains prominent despite the darker design
Although black dominates the overall appearance, Ferrari branding remains easy to identify. The Prancing Horse shield stands out against the dark shell, while the red, white and yellow elements provide clear links to the Scuderia.
Several of Charles Leclerc’s usual partner logos are incorporated into the design without overwhelming the Singapore artwork. UniCredit and Bitdefender appear prominently on the side, alongside Richard Mille and Ray-Ban branding, while the rear section carries Peroni 0.0, NGK and Bell markings. HP and other Ferrari partner logos are also integrated across the helmet.
The placement of the branding has been adapted around the special colour scheme rather than simply sitting on top of it. That allows the blue and pink skyline graphics to remain one of the helmet’s defining visual features.
Personal touches remain part of Charles Leclerc’s helmet
The Singapore design also retains smaller personal details associated with Charles Leclerc. The words Jules and Papa appear around the lower sections of the helmet, incorporated discreetly into the wider graphic treatment.
Those details sit alongside the more obvious race-specific elements and ensure the helmet remains recognisably personal despite its substantial visual departure from a conventional Ferrari colour palette.
Special helmet designs have become one of the most visible ways for Formula 1 drivers to mark individual race weekends, and Singapore offers a particularly natural setting for a darker, neon-inspired concept. With the event taking place against the illuminated Marina Bay backdrop, Leclerc’s black helmet has been designed around a visual language that closely matches the character of the Grand Prix.
The result is one of the most distinctive Ferrari helmet designs of the Singapore weekend: a predominantly black look built around Charles Leclerc’s number 16, vivid night-time colours and Singapore-specific skyline details, while still retaining the core Ferrari branding and personal elements of his usual race helmet.
